Events & Conversations
Professional encounters that bring market developments, leadership perspectives, and thoughtful conversations into closer focus — informing how I approach strategic professional positioning.
From Commitment to Impact
I attended the Global CSR Forum in Riyadh on October 5–6, 2026, following discussions on how corporate social responsibility becomes an integral part of strategy, governance, and institutional decision-making.
A recurring theme was that good intentions alone do not create meaningful CSR outcomes. Value emerges when commitment is translated into well-governed programs, collaboration, accountable execution, and measurable impact. I was also interested in how the culture of giving can be embedded in lasting organizational practices.
These discussions also resonated with my work. Real value must first be understood and defined, then reflected consistently in decisions, messaging, and action. The measure of an initiative is not simply its visibility, but the change that remains after the immediate activity has ended.

Forum Moments & Professional Meetings

Meeting With Dr. Maen Al Qatamin
Following the forum, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Maen Al Qatamin, Jordan’s former Minister of Labour and Minister of State for Investment Affairs, who was among the forum speakers.
Our conversation explored changes in Arab labor markets and the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of jobs and skills. We discussed how professionals and institutions can adapt as roles evolve and expectations shift.
In my approach to professional positioning, keeping pace with these changes is not only about acquiring new skills. It also requires understanding market direction, reassessing professional value, and communicating relevant expertise to the people whose decisions matter.
I appreciated the thoughtful exchange and the opportunity to consider these changes through a wider regional perspective.

Meeting With Dr. Bandar Sami Arab
During the Global CSR Forum in Riyadh, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Bandar Sami Arab, CEO of Savola World Foundation, and attending his session on embedding corporate social responsibility within business strategy.
His career stands out for its breadth, encompassing executive leadership, strategic planning, community development and engagement with creative and cultural ventures. These different strands offer a compelling perspective on how a multifaceted career can be connected by a coherent leadership direction.
From my professional positioning perspective, a leader is not defined solely by a job title. Their decisions, values, experiences and ability to turn ideas into initiatives and meaningful impact also shape how they should be understood. His session offered a useful lens through which to consider this relationship.
I appreciated our introduction and conversation, and the opportunity to exchange perspectives on leadership and institutional impact.

Conversation With Dr. Fawaz Al Khawari
One of the encounters I value from the Global CSR Forum was meeting and speaking with Dr. Fawaz Al Khawari, in a setting that brought together professionals from across the Gulf and the wider Arab region.
The forum provided opportunities to exchange views on developments affecting our respective markets and professional fields, and on the evolving expectations placed on institutions and decision-makers as CSR, leadership, governance and impact become increasingly interconnected.
For me, conversations like these are valuable beyond introductions. They provide a chance to listen to different perspectives, revisit assumptions about the market, and better understand the settings in which leaders and professionals operate.
I appreciated the meeting and our exchange, as well as the forum’s role in creating room for professional connections across markets.

Conversation With Dr. Hisham Mensan
I was pleased to meet Dr. Hisham Mensan, a legal expert, during the Global CSR Forum in Riyadh. Our professional connection also opened a conversation about how specialist expertise is presented and understood.
One question that emerged from our exchange concerns the difference between possessing deep legal knowledge and conveying its scope and relevance to those who need it. A website or professional profile does not automatically communicate the full range of a specialist’s work.
Following the forum, I had the opportunity to review his digital presence across his website and social platforms, considering how the professional introduction, messaging, and presentation of expertise align. It was another reminder that digital consistency matters: different platforms should not tell conflicting stories about the same professional.
I value the professional dialogue and the opportunity to connect legal expertise with strategic positioning and a coherent digital presence.
